Direct Service Professional - Northumberland & Bloomsburg Locations
This full time position is responsible for the daily care, training, supervision and support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the general areas of Self-Care, Communication, Community Participation and Socialization. Will assist the Program Specialist in providing training for individuals in activities of daily living, assist with personal needs (hygiene, toileting and eating), teach social and pre-vocational work skills to promote the highest level of independence and self-sufficiency in order to achieve an everyday life.
Minimum requirements are: High school diploma or GED, Valid PA Drivers License, PA State Police Criminal History Record check within one year, FBI Criminal History Background check if not continuous residence of PA for past three years.
Pre-employment and Bi-Annual Physical and Tuberculin Skin Test for some positions.
Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in a healthcare, nursing or social service setting.
Pay starts at $15.00 per hour
